"
Friendliness is catching"
July 2010
Arriving at Higher-Trevorrick we were met by Lorraine and David who
welcomed us with warm hospitality. They are truly concerned with the
well-being of all their guests and thus create an extraordinary
conduct even amongst the guests, who would sit in the beautiful
garden and chat like old friends.
The surroundings, the food and the accommodation
is everything it promises on the website, i.e. superior!
Our warmest recommendations.

"Truly wonderful break"
April 2010
Set in its own grounds, the house overlooks Rock and the Camel trail. Lorraine and David are great hosts, and made us really at home, during our stay. Our room was fantastic, from the extra large bed, to the to die for en-suite with walk in shower. The breakfast, cooked by David was great, with a wide selection, we went for the full Cornish, to good for words. Upstairs is the guest lounge with stunning views over Rock. Thanks Lorraine and David for making our holiday even more enjoyable.

"What dreams are made of"
March 2010
It is conveniently situated only a short drive from
Padstow and offers easy access to the Camel Trail. The house has a
large level garden mainly grassed and has beautiful extensive views,
including a wonderful view to the Camel Estuary.
Our bedroom was very spacious, immaculately decorated with the
finest on suite facilities including a luxurious shower. Luxury
towels, gels etc. are also supplied.
There is a luxury bed and quality furniture, also plenty of storage.
A very nice flat screen TV, mini bar, electric kettle and a
selection of coffee, teas and biscuits. There are also luxury bath
robes and a hairdryer.
Breakfast is the best I have experienced which includes fruit salad
and a cooked menu plus cereals and more. There is an optional
evening meal which is also exceptional, after which tea or coffee
can be enjoyed in the most comfortable guest lounge upstairs.
This is luxury accommodation with wonderful service. David and
Lorraine will welcome you and ensure you have a most relaxing and
enjoyable stay at their beautiful country house.
We look forward to returning, as we are sure many others will.

"First class holiday"
February 2010
We stayed here for a week in September and found it extremely
relaxing. Lorraine and David made us feel completely at home. The
room was excellent with one of the best showers we have seen in a
hotel. The bed was very comfortable and a handy mini bar in the
bedroom The location is handy for exploring North Cornwall where
there are many fine beaches and other attractions. The view of the
Camel estuary is particularly attractive. The best part of this
holiday was undoubtedly the first class food, particularly the
breakfast. Overall a wonderful experience and we can recommend it to
anyone.

"Wonderful Cornish hospitality and
good friendly atmosphere"
January 2010
It was our elder daughter's 28th birthday and Dad booked for 2
nights with David and Lorraine for the 4 of us. We were not
disappointed from the wonderful hospitality, fluffy towels,
beautiful decor, excellent showers and all the trimmings to make
this B&B truly 5 star. It is a convenient distance from Padstow and
Wadebridge yet in the most beautiful rural surroundings, with
excellent walks from the premises. Sorry we missed trying out
daughter Sarah's cuisine, but David's breakfasts were amazing. Worth
visiting again when we have the opportunity.

"Terrific find"
September 2009
We stayed for one evening last weekend and loved it. Very clean, nice bedroom with excellent ensuite, and a lovely guest room. Terrific views over to Rock. David and Lorraine are super hosts - we couldn't get a taxi into Padstow at short notice so they gave us a lift instead! Excellent breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

"Fabulous for a get away from it all
break in beautiful surroundings"
September 2009
We stayed at this country house when there was a mix up with
original hotel that we had booked. We were NOT disappointed. David
and Lorraine made us feel very welcome. The House has 4 rooms which
can are Double but can be made into twin. The rooms are very
spacious and of tasteful modern design which if you look at there
website shows nice pictures of these
www.higher-trevorrick.co.uk.
The room has Coffee and tea making facilities also a fully stocked
minibars which is reasonably priced. There is a flat screen tv in
the room also. The bathroom or shower room (depends which room you
choose) has a power shower and heated towel rail and complementary
shower gels and soaps not forgeting the Dressing Gowns in the
wardrobe.. There is also an Hair dryer and i forgot to mention the
Mini ironing board and Iron. The Breakfast was the best i have ever
had at a hotel or guest house with Fresh fruit i.e strawberries,
Kiwi, Sliced melon etc and Cereals and also a full cooked Cornish
breakfast plus other choices. There is an evening Meal available
which can be booked on the day if required. There is a pub up the
road called the Pickwick INN which is a landmark for finding this
Country House. They only serve food until 9pm i can recommend the
Lasagne. The house is about 10-15 mins from Padstow and 15 Mins from
Wadebridge. we also visited Port Issac 30 Mins and Tintagel 40 Mins
from here so it is close to a few different locations to explore.
I would recommend this Country house to anyone who wants a get away
from it all break. Also note they do not accept children mainly
because of the size of the establishment.
David and Lorraine have done a fantastic job of this place and it
has only been open for the last month so everything is new and it
really is worth the 5Star rating i have given it.
Have a fantastic stay and enjoy the food and warm hospitality.

"Wonderful hospitality"
September 2009
You get a warm welcome from David, Lorraine and family, when you
stay at Higher Trevorrick Country House. The house is situated down
a quiet country road, with fine views from the guest lounge. The
comfortable and spacious rooms have superb en-suite facilities. The
food is superb, David's breakfasts give you the best start to the
day and Sarah cooks the most delicious evening meals, her fish
dishes are particularly good.
This is an excellent base for exploring this beautiful part of
Cornwall.
